About Us
The basis of food as medicine
Nirvana Biodynamic Farm was created by Deb & Quentin in 1983 focusing on holistic sustainable farming, building soil fertility and biodiversity. This method ensures the highest of quality produce bursting with flavour and nutrition without chemicals and synthetic fertilisers. Still in the family today, this 4.5 Ha farm in the Adelaide Hills provides a diverse range of produce from orchards to nuts, garden vegetables, farm fresh eggs and entertaining geese. There is abundance of food to preserve, homemade beer, fruit wines, vinegars, sauces, powders and more. An enchanting and healing space to relax and watch the antics of the poultry or observe a multitude of native wildlife, all while enjoying the seasonal
rhythms of the Adelaide Hills.
Where to now?
After over 40 years of biodynamic farming and it is time for Deb & Quentin to relax and enjoy the beauty that the farm continues to offer as they pass on the dirt covered spade to the next generation.
The farm will now be run by Michael & Alison who continue to uphold the biodynamic farming practices both for themselves, the community and future generations. With Alison's background in nutritional medicine she fully understands the health benefits of biodynamic farming and applies her holistic approach to nurturing the terrain of the earth. Michael's background is a technical one with his skills being put to good use with all of the building and maintenance required on a busy farm.
